E3 2012: Top 5 Trailers so far.
5 Jun
We return to the land of PS3 this week and it’s an E3 special. I know most people shall just link you to the big blockbuster trailers across platforms, but here at kezla.com I like to keep things simple. So these are my 5 favourite trailers for PS3 games.
5. Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
Yes I wish they would come up with a more original name too, but this beauty of a racer has the looks of NFS The Run but the fun and carnage of Burnout Revenge on PS2 [The best Burnout game by far]. Autolog gets a hefty update, and frankly any game with Prodigy as the trailer music isn’t going to be all that bad if you ask me.
4. Medal of Honor Warfighter.
I really didn’t want to want another FPS, having been satisfied with the single player campaign in Medal of Honor and the excellent multiplayer of Battlefield 3, but as soon as I saw this game I wanted it. Industry leading sound design, stunning visuals and great action has me adding this game to my most watched list.
3. Sherlock Holmes.
Yes I’m as surprised as you are that this makes my list, but Heavy Rain set in London? Yes please. You guys know me by now, I do like something a little different, and this has me immensely intrigued, I just hope the voice acting isn’t too bad.
2. Beyond: Two Souls
This game was completely new to me…look at those faces ! The game, as you can probably guess, is from the makers of Heavy Rain, with the actress from Juno playing the lead. Looks like a thrilling dark adventure.
1. Tomb Raider
Every other Tomb Raider game in history has frustrated me, it’s either annoying camera behaviour or a puzzle that stumps me. This game looks to be heading into the Uncharted series territory and is all the better for it in my opinion. I have never been excited about a Tomb Raider game before, but I literally cannot wait to play this and secretly pretend I am indeed Lara Croft, awesome action survivor girl…hey I have the hair at least, but she’s probably a better shot with the bow than me.
So that’s my top 5 from what I have seen online with regards to E3, comment below and tell me what you guys are looking forward to!

Your sentiments on Tomb Raider mirror mine exactly so not much to add to that.
I’d be lying if I said that The Last Of Us demo didn’t blow me away because it did. I’m a retro gamer at heart but this title looks to such that I’ll drag me kicking and screaming into the future.
I know it was trailered for Microsoft but the South Park RPG also looks interesting. I’m an ardent fan of the show and think the involvement of Trey Parker and Matt Stone will this become enjoyable even if the gameplay doesn’t end up being fantastic. For me, it’s a low-risk purchase.
The Wonderbook is going to be a flop, I can almost guarantee that and sadly, from what I saw; the Vita’s mid-term future isn’t looking too healthy either.
Black Ops 2 also failed to inspire me, I know the CoD series has a ‘it’s not broken so don’t fix it mentality’ but the same game (COD 4) rehashed no less than 5 times with no real significant engine update or major tweaks to gameplay leaves me feeling that I can afford to skip this offering.
Any major disappointments for you yet Kez?
None realy major…I’m just left wanting more, from Sony especially. Although I don’t own one, I thought there would be much more Vita content, and Ubisoft’s and EA’s presentations really were miles better than Sony’s. I shall be keeping an eye on Watch Dogs and Sim City too.
Apologies for the poorly typed response, writing on an iPhone is niché skill that I don’t posess!
